There is something very special about September when every classroom is filled, the playground is buzzing, and the familiar hum of children learning, playing, chatting, and laughing returns to every corner of our school.

It has been wonderful to welcome both our new and returning children to Studley Infants' School. Seeing smiling faces arrive each morning and watching friendships blossom once again reminds us what a privilege it is to be part of such a caring school community.

The start of a new school year is always an important time for settling in and helping children feel safe, secure, and confident. Across the school, we have been working together with the children to establish routines, build relationships, and develop shared expectations. Having clear and predictable routines helps everyone know what is happening and when, creating a strong sense of safety, belonging, and confidence that allows children to thrive.

We know that for some children, settling back into school, or starting school for the very first time, can feel a little tricky. New classrooms, new routines, and new experiences can take time to get used to. If your child is finding things challenging at the moment, please don't worry. These early weeks are all about building trust, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Every child settles at their own pace, and we will work together to support them. We know from experience that, with patience, encouragement, and consistency, they will get there.

Already, we are seeing children grow in independence, develop new friendships, and engage enthusiastically in their learning. It has been a joy to see classrooms filled with curiosity, creativity, and excitement for the year ahead.

As we look forward to the months to come, we are excited about all the opportunities, experiences, and achievements that await our children. Together, we will continue to nurture a love of learning, support each child's development, and celebrate their successes along the way.
