Community
At Studley Infants School, children’s Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development is carefully nurtured through play, exploration and meaningful early learning experiences. We help our youngest learners begin to make sense of the world by encouraging curiosity, imagination and reflection—for example through stories, nature walks, creative activities and simple discussions about their thoughts and ideas. Children learn right from wrong through our clear routines, shared values and gentle guidance from adults, helping them understand kindness, fairness and how their actions affect others. Social skills are developed every day as children learn to take turns, share, cooperate and build friendships in a supportive and caring environment. We introduce children to a wide range of cultures, celebrations, traditions and viewpoints through books, themed days, visits, role play and assemblies, helping them appreciate diversity from an early age. Opportunities such as class jobs, helping with school events, and contributing to community projects help children feel part of something bigger and learn about responsibility. Through all of these experiences, we aim to help every child grow into a confident, thoughtful and respectful member of our school community, laying strong foundations for learning and life.
