English Intent
Our English curriculum has been developed to recognise the importance of English in every aspect of daily life and is key to learning across all subjects in school. The curriculum aims to support and develop our children’s speaking and listening, vocabulary, reading and writing skills and will equip our children with the necessary skills required to become capable and confident speakers, readers and writers. We recognise the importance of nurturing a culture where children love to read, take pride in their writing and can clearly and accurately adapt their language and style for a range of contexts. We want to inspire our children to suppose, imagine and achieve.
